不要在街上吻我

花3块钱买回一盘10年前出版的盒带《薛岳——台湾著名摇滚歌手》。没人知道我有多么高兴。
那时候我所热爱的，首先是薛岳的一曲《不要在街上吻我》，然后才是李亚明的一张《酷》和后来的罗大佑、齐秦。薛岳死于癌症和遗忘，今天，台湾的青年恐怕也不会懂得那个T恤上写着“不要在街上吻我”的年代。那当然也不是一个摇滚的时代，根据《岛屿边缘》杂志1993年的一篇报告来看，薛岳的时代（80年代下半期）正是传播着欧美重金属的时代，本土摇滚还连形式主义都没有达到。而薛岳却在一伙重金属迷的帮助下完成了一批介乎摇滚和流行之间的情歌。和罗大佑、李宗盛不同的是，薛岳并不创作，他只是在一堆罗嗦、笨拙的歌词中唱出了略显鼻音的“喔喔喔喔”——像个高傲的公鸡。那种富于韧性的声音在高处很容易变成锋利的重金属刀刃，但薛岳没有，他是条狼，但始终脱不下羊的外衣。
只有那一首，“不要在街上吻我，这方式我不能接受，当我离开你的时候，谁都不能打破，我的沉默……”词作者陈克华后来当过《现代诗》的主编，曲作者韩贤光是贝司手和制作人。那种将欧洲流行摇滚剥皮抽筋，只留下骨架的作法导致了和声的单薄和乐器间的疏远，但却恰巧配合了薛岳硬而傲慢的声音，那既是青年独立人生中的自决权，也是整个社会所需要的理性。薛岳或许没有想到，他压着拍子唱出的这首歌，成了一代台湾人的自我之歌，他们不只是对恋人说“NO！”，更对父辈、商业文化、主流意识形态和体制化抛来的糖衣炮弹说：“没有什么能叫我回头……什么都不必说，让我们擦肩而过”。那简单的伴奏也忽然爆发出了朴素的美，和青涩的热情。
如今不同了。《吻别》、“I’ll Make Love To You”、“Don’t Marry Her, Fuck Me”,等等，你以为是唱给情人听的，其实，是抛还给习惯、金钱、思想惰性的秋波与投降书。反正薛岳死掉了，再没人拒绝肉乎乎的诱惑。
