Laoya (老鸭) is a 34 year old singer-songwriter, self-taught in the ways of grunge music. He's been in Beijing for eleven years, weathering the ups and downs of the music scene swirling around him. With his years of experience, he has brought together a band that bursts forth as a mature expression of inner angst.

On August 21st, he performed during the Max Star Music Festival in the Ditan Park. According to Beijing Gig Guide: I only saw the last song of his set, but I was impressed with what I heard. It was def­i­nitely a clas­sic Chi­nese rock feel, echo­ing the old guards like Cui Jian, and I hope to hear more of him soon..^[1]
