History
On August 26th, 2010, Chui Wan, Acoelomate Goat, and Birdstriking performed at the D-22. According to Pangbianr: Chui Wan’s set began with a fairly alienating vibe — the discordant, eerie opening song was reflected in a physical detachment between each member of the band. Though they were all jamming out pretty hard and in excellent composition, each jammed alone. As Chui Wan continued, however, the band grew more animated, the sound more upbeat and unified. Indeed, I do believe I witnessed a few furtive moments of eye contact between bandmates as they played on. [1]
On July 16th 2011, they performed at the Hot Cat Club. According to Beijing Gig Guide: I had never seen Chuiwan before, but I really enjoyed them. The music was just the right side of psychedelic for me to relate to and enjoy; not to say that it was without its weird, rambling moments, but they kept the jam feel tight and together, and I really had fun. Plus, the bass player’s neon pink fake eyelashes were really fun to watch as she looked around.[2]
