History
EvilMare was founded in early 2008 in Guangzhou, when several friends met: guitarist 君, bassist 谦 and. drummer 乌鸦. With their lead singer 末 they started covering bands like Korn, Lamb of God, Deftones, Twisted Machine and other famous artists. After they recruited a good friend as keyboard player, they officially named the band EvilMare.
Their style gradually changed to the musical style of northern and western europe bands, based on death metal with folk metal influences. The band also started to participate in some live performances.
Then the band hired another guitarist and the line-up consisted of 6 members. After 君 left the band and another guitarist joined, they produced their first single 魇 (Nightmare), followed by a second single, 锁.
In 2009, just when band further progressed, their lead singer 猩 left. Soon a female lead singer joined the band and they started to cover the works of the Swedish band Norther. The band took also part in the Pepsi Music Competition.
In June 2010 the band won in the "Metal Battle".
