History
1992 - Band was found, previously with the band name Purple Haze 粉雾
1994 - The song "Old bro of the Zhaos"《赵家老哥》was published on the compilation "Rock '94"《摇滚94》. The same year, the band was signed to Red Star Productions (红星生产社) and changed their name into Heaven 天堂.
1996 - The debut album "In the beginning"《人之初》(Red Star Productions).
1997 - The 2nd album "Happy Flower"《幸福的花儿》(Red Star Productions).
1999 - The 3rd and last album "Half half"《一半一半》on Red Star Productions, after that long years of "homeless" drifting has begun.
2003 - The 4th album "Faith" 《信念》 came out on Century Element Records (世纪元素).
2006 - The 5th selftitled album "Heavon" 《天堂》came out over Asian Gods Records (亚神).
2007 - The band started their tryouts on other creative fields such as Chinese traditional talk show style "Cross Talk" (相声) and together with famous cross talk artist Zhao Yan 趋炎, they created several musical cross talk numbers such as "Rock Guru"《摇滚老前辈》, "I m the god father of rock"《我是摇滚教父》or "The cat walk tale" 《猫行记》. The same year they harvest the 东方风云榜 award for best band of the year.
2008 - On June 7th, during the pre-olympic phase, they celebrated their 15th band anniversary with an live show in Beijing.
2010 - Produced and released their 6th album "at the foot of the forbidden city" 《皇城根》 by themselves.
Heaven (天堂) have been around in some formation or another since 1992. With the lead singer and lyricist LEI at the helm, the band has navigated through the stormy waters of the Beijing punk rock scene to arrive as an established name. With many albums and many more performances under their belts, this powerhouse band does not disappoint.
In October 2005, they performed during the Midi Music Festival 2005.
