Biography

“If music is an expression of freedom, then style and genre are the shackles people imprison themselves in”, says Honey Gun, and we are inclined to agree with them. A well-crafted mix between heavy and melodic, the bands music has been confounding journalists who’d like them to pick a genre and fit into it since they began playing. Admitting that their inspiration comes from such common places as their friends and family, Honey Gun are on a quest to find a balance between the expression of real feeling and entertainment. Influenced by too many different bands to list here, they have cut themselves out quite a task. They invite you to judge for yourself just how well their progress is coming.

May 1st-4th, 2006, they performed during the Midi Music Festival 2006.

In October 2007, their song 成長的街 appeared in the X-Music Magazine no. 351.

At the end of October 2009, Diao Lei (Spring Autumn and Honey Gun) won the Best Rock Instrumental Performance award at the Midi Awards 2009.

On May 2nd, 2010, they performed at the Midi Music Festival 2010.
