History
The project Lan Band was formed by Wang Lan in 2005 who also is the main songwriter and the first producing drumer in China. The performance is multi-elemental paying attention on the rhythm sector which is based on Wang Lan’s drumming and his two students’ percussions performace, incl. on Chinese Big Drums, Tang Drum, Chinese Cymbals, oil tanks, beer cans etc. , plus guitar and bass parts. The music style is basically rock music combining folk, electro and funk elements, on the quest to find the truth behind the ultimate question 'in the long music history of human kind, which came first? Rhythm or Melody??'
Info: The band name 澜办得 is a phonal interpretation of the English term Lan Band, but the chn. characters also may say 'Lan can do it' :)
