Monkey King was formed in the summer of 2010, our band first was biased in favor of melodical screamo, and that time was a chaos time, our band members was changed many tiimes, until the summer of 2011, we have our stationary members. Vocals Chen Hui, Lead guitar Chen Xueqiang, Rhythm Guitar Yu Bin, Bass Su Yi, Drums Lv Jizou. After a short-time run in, we brought some harder riffs into our music, and so we turned into Melodic Hardcore.

Our band was not formed a long time, but the frequency of our shows was amazing in Changsha. Keeping the best quality of our shows made us popular in our province, and became the leader of core band in Hunan province. And we had our Madfist China Tour in november.

We dont have the big aim for our band, but we will do our best to write songs and do the live shows.

Monkey King was influenced by both new bands and the old bands. such as The devil wears prada, A day to remember, Adept, H2O, Madball, Agnostic Front and a lot of bands. We just want the young people use the right values in the lives, dont be a jerk.

Our two songs was published in 'i love rock music' section 110.

Monkey Fist has grown from their 2011 Madfist Tour! and as Yu Bin, guitarist, states:

we have learnt alot and eat a lot on the tour road, haha! now we know that we must treat everthing with normal heart, dont worry, cos we had so many difficulties and problems on the road, and we must face them and go through them! we also know what kind of songs are the people likes, so our new songs will be much better!^[1]
