History

Mr. Turtle is a young dynamic band from Province Guangxi, their style tends to go retro rock combine with reggea and ska elements. For Mr. Turble the state of non stop touring is a matter of life style. Dance is better than pogo, is their slogan.

On December 25th 2004 the band was formed in the beautiful county Zhuangxiang 壮乡 in Guangxi Province. In August 2007 the band moved from Nanning City to Chengdu.

On May 1st, 2010, they performed at the Midi Music Festival 2010. According to MTV Iggy: (...) the crowd has swarmed the stage. Their lead singer strums on a purple guitar, singing with his eyes closed, shoulder length hair blowing in the breeze. Behind him a reincarnation of Slash is churning out twangy bass lines, sending the crowd into a sweaty frenzy. A few brave youths have begun crowd surfing, getting slammed to the ground as they reach the edge of the crowd. People have their dazed, drunk from music faces on, and a buzz of peaceful energy vibrates through the air. The band is playing one of their half English half Chinese songs: “Like a rolling stone/Mama take me home,” the singer croons.^[1]

海龟先生乐队，他们年轻且富有活力与激情。乐队组建以来一直活跃在广西地下摇滚圈。风格以复古摇滚乐为主，能够与REGGEA，SKA等多种音乐元素很好的结合。队员能全身心投入到音乐当中，把情感，生活，理想全部融入到音乐当中。对于海龟先生来说，可以不停的巡演是最美好的生活形式。POGO不如跳舞,节奏响起,伴随着轻松的快乐气氛。犹如来到充满阳光和美丽的牙买加沙滩。华丽的 SOLO，舒服的鼓点，随性的贝司再加上主唱那舒服以及独特的嗓音，又一个合唱高潮马上就要呈现了。 2004年12月25号海龟先生乐队组建在山清水秀的壮乡广西。起初由4位年轻人组成。后因各种原因，乐队经过几次变动，现人员：主唱&吉他：李红旗吉他手：老麻贝司：蒋晗鼓手：高欣 2007年8月，海龟先生乐队举队离开南宁来到千里之外的四川成都继续他们的摇滚梦。
