History
Overdose was formed in January 2006 in Nanjing.
June 14th 2008, they performed at a Yu Yin Tang show called Shanghai Punk vs Nanjing Punk (Bands: Loudspeaker, Mortal Fools, Overdose and Angry Jerks). According to Andy Best, With four bands on the bill the show was billed as an 8 pm start. Mortal Fools were supposed to go on first and a band member was missing so rather than adjusting the running order they put the whole show back to 10 - only to decide on putting MF on last, after all that.[1]
On January 11th, 2009, their song Die with me was included in the compilation King-Size China 2nd Anniversary (VA).
In May 2009, Ruan Ruan is voted the no. 15 coolest rock star in Beijing by Timeout Beijing Magazine. There are a lot of punk girls in Beijing, but if you want to see one that really rocks out, look no further than Overdose singer Ruan Ruan, who somehow manages to seem quirkily sweet as she stomps and snarls over the band’s melodic power-punk.[2]
