History

The name PB33 is disputed to either stand for Party Boy 33 or ‘Permanently Being with Shanshan’. Shanshan was the vocal’s beloved ex-girlfriend and the pronunciation of ‘Shanshan’ is like ‘33’ in Chinese.

PB33 was established on May 8th, 2005 by four freshmen from Recording Art College in Communication University of China. In the past three years, the band has become more and more mature after numbers of live house shows and various competitions. They are welcomed by a huge group of youth because of the distinctive and vogue music genre, popular melody, and true-life words as well as characteristic and energetic performance, which make them the representative of youth rock & roll in Beijing.

August 9th 2009, they performed during the InMusic Festival 2009 on the Zhangbei Grasslands on the Stage 2.
