History

In late 2002, the band Shi Jun (噬君) is renamed by their Vocalist 裴南 into Phagocyte (噬菌). Lineup at that time: 裴南（Vo）, 李洋（G）, Wang Zhi Qin 王智欽（B）, 范佳偉（Dr） and Zhang Yang 張揚（Sampler）. December 21st, 2002, they perfortmed in Chifeng (Inner Mongolia). December 24th, they performed in the Get Lucky Bar. December 25th, they rocked the 起点 bar during the 聖誕節狂歓夜 event. As most of the members are dressing in a uniform style they are also called Chinese Slipknot.

In January 2003, their first demo is completed. March 8th they rocked the Get Lucky Bar. March 21st, they performed in the CD Cafe. March 23rd, they performed in the 阿瑞納 bar. April 2nd, they rocked the Get Lucky Bar. April 8th, they performed in the Get Lucky bar during the Kurt Cobain Memorial Concert. April 12th, they performed in the Get Lucky Bar. April 19th, they performed in the Get Lucky Bar.

Eventually, 裴南 left the band due to musical differences and Zhang Yang (張揚) served as vocalist, hence the lineup was reduced to Zhang Yang 張揚（Vo&Sampler）, 李洋（G）, Wang Zhi Qin 王智欽（B） and 范佳偉（Dr）. In April, their song 尾声 was included in the X-Music Magazine no. 243. In September, their song 種 was included in the So Rock! Magazine (no. 23). In the same year the band disbanded.

In 2004, their song 種 was included in the compilation record So Metal! (VA).
