History
Stalin Gardens formed in October 2009 as Rank Moist Vegetation, and after numerous lineup changes settled on the current one: Ying Zi on bass, Wei Qi on drums, and Julien R on guitar. They describe their sound as the sound of a million crystal chandeliers crashing over Balinese ricefields, and claim to be influenced by the likes of Killing Joke, Swans, The Birthday Party, Peste Noire, A.H. Kraken, Prurient, Simon & Garfunkel, and Coil.
Their next shows will be at 696 Live (with Torturing Nurse and other experimental acts) on the 6th of March in Shanghai, and also at Uptown Records on the 17th, headlining with Alpine Decline and Torturing Nurse.
