History
A band formed in 2000. Having fresh style , touching rhythm and practical skill ,the Camel trudges their way with sad melody ,and becomes shining with marked talent.
Released their first single in 2001.
Joined the play ’Police officer in Snake’s Year” for three months in 2002. In this TV series featured by famous chn. actors Zhang Fengyi (张丰毅) and Wang Ji (王姬), The Camel took themselves as prototype to show the conflicting idea and life between music-writing young men and the old generation. And four songs of the band were played in this TV series.
After the play, The Camel began their 2003 South China tour traveling through Shantou, Guangzhou, Xiamen and other cities. These active shows helped the band to get a more developed style.
In 2004, the Camel took an active part in shows and publicity, released their second single, and got a wild attention through Chao Yang and Midi Music Festival
In 2005 the Camel began to prepare their first album. More and more people began to know and love them by watching their shows and interview. On October 2005, the Camel signed with ‘Jianghu Records’ (中国音乐家音像出版社厂牌江湖唱片)
On January 2006, they made their first record ‘Utopia’
June 2007, they began a tour around China with ‘Utopia”
No news about them anymore since 2009, not sure if the band still is active.
