History

The band was formed in March 2001 and originally called “Fu Lin”. The band had its first performance in May 2001 at the Midi School Music Festival. Afterward, the band changed its name to "Wednesday's Trip".

The band combines various musical elements, such as trip-hop, drum & bass, dub, folk, as well as techno and some distinctive Chinese features. Most of the songs are very picturesque, naturally revealing the emotion, feelings and inner power. Most of the lyrics are about dreams and illusions, reflecting the complexity of human thoughts.

The band has performed in most major bars and clubs, such as in Rhine Bar in Beijing and ARK in Shanghai in 2001. The band also participated in 2002 Midi School Music Festival. After that, the band has toured in Nanjing, Wuhan and Chengdu.

The single "Magic Hours" was released in August 2002 by Modern Sky (a Chinese music recording label). "Monkey's Day", "When You Fall" and "Seaside Story" were published by Contemporary Arts-Listen, Pop Songs, and Fei Music. Another song, "Folk" has been recorded by Badhead and appeared on the compilation Girl’s Day.
