History

About Wu Junde: Born in 1972 in Shihua City, Province Xinjiang. Loves classic accustic guitar since youth, changed onto bass later. At young age he was a professional boxer, bicycle sportler and also worked as forklift driver.

Between 1997 til 2003 he has been a band member of Tongue which laid on a pause recently. Since 2002 he started study to play Dongbula with band mate Mamer and found the band IZ, later he also started learning other Chinese folk string instruments. In 2008 he joint Hanggai as bass player. At the end of 2008 he formed Wu Junde and the Travelers where he plays guitar and sings calm tuned folk songs.

In April 2009, his song 揺籃曲 was included in the compilation record Red Bulldozer.

On May 3rd, 2010, he performed at the Midi Music Festival 2010.
